Dear Friends,

Over the past years several individuals have been working independently to compile genealogical data on the history of the Reese and McPhail families. It has been brought to our attention of late that the stories and data being collected need to be assembled and reported to the members of the Reese and McPhail families and to the many allied families with whom we are associated.

Those working on the Reese and McPhail genealogies would like to propose an informal organization to continue and expand this work and call it the Reese-McPhail Genealogy Project. We would like to invite any interested family members and others to participate with us in gathering family information, pictures needing preservation, important documents, letters, family bible notations, and other material as we pursue the goal of telling the story of our family.

In the near future we envision a newsletter and the availability of copies of historical documents and photographs on request for interested individuals. Relying on donations and a small subscription fee we feel that our project can grow and involve others in the collection and preservation of genealogical data.
