& served in hospital corps. He was discharged 12/1945 & came to Mankato, Minn. for Northern States Powerfor 38 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of American Legion Post 11 Where he was a past commander & also a member of VFW Post 950.[billmyers1931.ged]
He served in the hospital corp at several stations and on several ships while in the Pacific.

"MA of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, Mankato, with burial 11:15 a.m. Monday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul."
"Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Landkamer's Johnson-Bowman Mortuary, Mankato, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Saturday.There also will be a prayer service 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.The family prefers memorials to Immanuel St. Joeseph's Hospital Hospice Program, the American Cancer Society or donor's choice."
