I am working on my family tree for the Reeds,Grahams, Stillmans, Minehardts.
I have traced the Reed name to London England in the late 1500's
The spelling has changed from Reed to Read and the earliest spelling was Reade.
Jacob Reade was married on November 15, 1621 in London England to Ann Audye. They had a son named Phillip who was born in 1623/24 in England.
I also have the Stillman family traced back to Steple Ashton, England 1445.
Regard the Minehardt name, my great grandfather was the last of the Royal line of Wurzburg Germany.
Earnest Minehardt signed back to the state in 1922 the castle
"Festung Marienberg" on the Main River in Germany.
He had obtained US citizenship and did not want to return to Germany.
The original spelling of the name was Meinhardt.
