Geographical areas of interest include New York, Virginia, Germany, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Poland/Prussia, Illinois, Ohio, England, and North Carolina.

I am interested in all ancillary family lines, and locating "live" relatives as well as the life and history of deceased family members. We will be delighted to trade info.

    Stephen Reed, 29 May 1832 - 21 Sep 1910, served in the Civil War, 16th Kansas Cavalry as a bugler. He was born in Ohio, living in IN, MO, KS, NE, ID & WA before his final move to Oregon. He died in Hood River, Or.

    Franz Hartwig, 13 May 1856 - 23 Sep 1890, was born in Nitznow, Germany. I have been unsuccessful in locating his parents. He died from complications of diabetes, refusing treatment so his family would have $$ for the trip to America.
  • Romain Milton Hawley (19 KB)
    Romain M. Hawley, 7 May 1832- 19 Jul 1914, was b. in Columbus, OH, and lived in IL & SD,where he died. He had 9 children.
  • Jesse Dunn Hooper (16 KB)
    Jesse Hooper, 20 Dec 1838 - 28 Apr 1912, was b. in IL, and moved to KS while a young man. His 10 children were all born there, and in 1882 the family traveled to San Francisco by train, then up the coast by steamer to Washington state, settling in the Delameter Valley of Cowlitz County, where Jesse died.

  • Thomas McKee, British Indian Agent (69 KB)
    Thomas was the son of Alexander McKee,Indian Agent extraordinaire, and a Shawnee squaw. He also served as Indian agent until 1808. He fought with Tecumseh in the War of 1812.
