Ezekiel MORGAN & Katherine ARNOLD: Monroe/Itawamba Cos MS

I am seeking information on the parents of Ezekiel [also spelled Ezekial] MORGAN and his wife, Katherine ARNOLD from Monroe and Itawamba Counties, Mississippi.

My family has evidence of Ezekiel living in Monroe County in the 1821. He purchased land in 1833 and 1835. He and Katherine [Katy] were married February 16, 1838, in Monroe County.

Katherine's [sometimes spelled Catherine] mother was Mary Ann "Polly" Arnold. We have evidence of Mary Ann being in Monroe County in the 1820's. Katherine had an older sister, Melinda [Malinda] born about 1810 in South Carolina. According to the 1870 Federal Census, Samuel Morgan listed his father's [Ezekiel] place of birth as Ohio and his mother, Katherine, as being born in Kentucky.
