Researching Powell, Jackson, Whitworth, Fritts, Wathen, Lucas, Williams, Harrington, Purdy, Berryman, Crume, and others. The Powells, Whitworths, Crumes were in Kentucky via Virginia; others in Kentucky via Maryland. My biggest mysteries are William Jackson of Virginia who married Martha Alexander of Kentucky -- their son John born in Mississippi was my g.grandfather. And also eluding me is the ancestry of Charles Wathen of Kentucky who married Elizabeth Purdy in Hardin County in 1844.
