Captain William Reed was a prominent citizen of Lexington, MA, and represented the town at General Court. Treasury records, Volume 122-123, page 397, contains entries showing Capt. William Reed and his company were paid for military services during the Colonial Wars. Both William and his wife are buried in the old Lexington graveyard.
