James Reed first appeared in Dauphin Co (Lancaster) in 1726. His children were: Capt.John, who married Nancy Caldwell . Capt John's children were: Capt. John, Jr. who married Margaret Blythe James, who married Ester "Hettie Ayers; Nathan, Thomas, Mary and Eleanor. John,Jr's children were: William m. Jane Miller (both died in Union Co,PA), James who went to Louisiana and Elizabeth m. John Armstrong. James and Hettie Reed stayed and died below Halifax (Dauphin Co) in a what is now Reed Twp. |
