I am researching the Reibel family. My Great Great grandfather, John William Reibel, came to the United States in 1889 or 1890 from Germany and settled in Reserve township, near Pittsburgh PA. He had nine children, with the two youngest being born in Pittsburgh. His son Christ is my Great grandfather, born 1878 in Germany, died in 1934. Christ married Elizabeth Schaefer in 1904, and my grandfather George was born in 1907. Christ's brothers were Joseph, Henry and John. There were at least three sisters, Margaret Reibel Cain, Anna Reibel Deuber, and Theresa Oesterich. I have very little information on any of the siblings. I am looking for any information on any of Christ's siblings, or on William- I would love to hear from anyone who may be related. There were other "Reibels" in the Pittsburgh area, but I'm not sure how they were related. My surname is often misspelled "Reible", "Riebel" and "Rieble", so If your spelling is close, let me know! I am also searching for Luebberts. My grandfather George married Dorothea Luebbert in 1931. Her father Adolph lived in Pittsburgh, and died in 1919. He came from Germany or Denmark, and married Regina Voll.
