Alexander and Mary Gibson's first fine two story home on this farm was demolished 22 May 1873, when a tornado that came from the SW, hit Jackson Twn. Wahington County, IA. This is a photo of there second home, built soon after the tornado. Alexander and Mary Gibson sold their fram to their sons, and retired, moving into city of Washington, IA about 1989. This photo was taken by the new owners Harold and Verlee Wylie just before they demolished the Gibson home to make room for new brick farm home.
