1. ANGUS¹ MACLEOD was born 1770 in Lairg, Sutherlandshire, Scotland, and died 1842 in Pictou co., Nova Scotia. He married JANE SUTHERLAND. She was born 1766 in Sutherlandshire, Scotland, and died 1846 in Pictou co., Nova Scotia.

Angus and Jane arrived in Pictou co. between 1806 and 1821. The "1810 New Lairg farm" may have some validity. The MacLeods were of the Harris (Skye) branch. They probably actually arrived in October of 1819 on the ship Dinah.
