1. JOHN¹ SLONE^1,^2,^3,^4,^5,^6,^7,^8,^9,^10,^11,^12,¹³ was born October 31, 1778 in Virginia, and died February 05, 1831. He married SARAH HENRY¹⁴ August 25, 1796 in Patrick, Co., Virginia, daughter of JOHN HENRY and UNKNOWN (1).

Notes for JOHN SLONE:
They resided briefly in Floyd County, before migrating to Gallia County, Ohio in 1806.
John Slone built the first home in Ohio Township in 1811 along the banks of the the Ohio river. The old homestead is thought to still be standing.

Notes for SARAH HENRY:
According to her last will and testament (Gallia Co., OH) dated 1831& probate 1839
she made her son William her administrator, however, William resided in Indiana
by then and declined the obligation, therefore Henry Hannan was made administrator.
She appoints John Alsbury as guardian to her minor children, John Henry and James Morgan Slone. She also mentions her four youngest daughters Jane, Miriam, Nancy and Maria as heirs to estate as well.

Sarah (Sally) is buried at the Henry cemetery, in Ironton Ohio.
