I am gathering ancestry information for my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will need to know some things about the people who preceeded them. Much of the information has been gleened from family members' actual experiences and knowledge from family tombstones and old, yellowed, 5x8" cards used as a filing system at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio; information from the Ohio Historical Society; and other State of Ohio documentation.

While on-line, each time I find a name that, instinctively, I think might be a relative, I can hear my's Father's voice whispering, "Uncle Clint" or "Aunt Birdie." The hair on the back of my neck stands up or I feel a chill down my body. Somewhere in my mind from long ago, I hear my Father's voice.

Our family members are in Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, Arizona, Michigan, New Mexico, and California. If you are one of them, join with me in my quest to connect them within this high-tech arena. Let us use this permanent media for our future children so they might view their fantastic history as we have discovered it.

One by one my family members are slipping away and with them goes important stories and history of my family. I feel such an urgency in trying to capture information that each member might have. Last year our aunt Bettie, whose real name was Marjorie passed away. With her, secrets about our Uncle Don have disappeared. We were too late to retrieve private papers her other relative did not think were important. I was lucky to receive Don's shotgun and hunting vest. Better luck next time? There is no next time. Bettie was the last of that part of my family.
