I am researching the Relfe family tree beginning with those who live in the state of Alabama. Although derivations of the name can be traced back through the Middle Ages, I am tracing only direct ancestors of the families residing in Alabama. Current records indicate the family came to Alabama from North Carolina after migrating from England. Thomas Relfe, son of Thomas Relfe, Sr., was born around 1614 in England and testified in a North Carolina court in 1707 that he was 93 years old. Other names directly associated with my research include the following: Perry, Riddell, and Chambers.
