| We are reseaching the Charles and Charlotta (Sjogren) Remrey Family of Clinton Iowa and Wacker Illinois. Charles stoled away on a boat from Roham Belgum to the United States in 1880. Were not sure how he spelled his name. Could have spell it Remry. Which is how the name was spelled on his citizen papers. He became a citizen of the United States, October 7th 1882 thru the State of Iowa. The family lived in Clinton Iowa and later moving to the little town of Wacker Illinois by Savanna in Carroll County. Where Charles and Charlotta are buried in The Hickory Grove Cemetery. Charles was borned in Roham Belgium September 1860. Charlotta was borned in Misterhult Socken Kallmer Lan Sweden on August 15th 1871. Daughter of P.M. Sjogren and Eva ? To Charles and Charlotta were borned 14 children. Frank-August 20,1890. William-September 04, 1891. Peter-March 17, 1893. Edward-September 14, 1895. Della Eva-January 11, 1898. Elsie-January 10, 1900. Irene-March 09, 1902. Charles-February 06, 1904. Isabelle-February 23, 1906. Toby- October 22,1907. Harry-April 30, 1909. Mae-April 29,1909. Mark-May 12,1910. Adelbert Martin-October 02, 1911. I'm Gary R. Remrey. The son of Harry and Amelia Taber Remrey. They were married February 23, 1935 in Dixon Illinois. Mother was born March 03,1915. I was born December 29, 1938 in Dixon Illinois. I married Charlotte Ann Boos January 4th 1958 in Clinton Iowa. Charlotte was born July 9th 1942 in Dixon Illinois daughter of Elmer Charles Boos Sr. and Mildred Adams Boos. And to us were born Carrie Ann,Denise Kay,Diana Lynn. Carrie Ann Remrey married Richard Allen Gray Sr. of Fanklin Grove Illinois and had Three Children. Jennifer Lynn, Rebecca Sue, Richard Allen Gray Jr.( in United States Marines in Califoria). They than Divored and she married Brian Andrew Olson of Waterman Illinois and has a son Isacc Brandon Olson. Denise Kay Remrey married Kevin DeWayne Wright of Clinton Iowa and has three boys Gabriel Ryan (in the elect Army Rangers in Ft. Benning Ga.) Tyler Elliott (Augustana College in Rock Island Illinois). And Zachery Owen Wright. Zach lives at home and go's to Oregon Illinois High School. Diana Lynn Remrey married John Douglas Lentz Sr. from Mt. Morris Illinois. Is now Divored and has two Children, John Douglas Lentz Jr. go to Kishwaukee Community College and April Lynn Lentz gos to High School in Oregon Illinois. |
