Hannah and Agnes Herlihy took care of this retarded child. Early in World War II, Agnes went to work after being a housewife for several years. When Bob reached six years old he became hard to manage. He would wander away from home, and become lost. Hannah, in her mid-sixties by then, was slowing down. So the family hired someone to look after my brother, and to keep him from wandering away."
