| Thus far, we have traced our Virginia family beginnings to Scott SYDNOR and Katy COLEMAN SYDNOR. Katy's father was Alexander COLEMAN. In 1880, according to the 1880 United States Census, Scott SYDNOR, the head of household was 39 years old, and his wife Katy was 35 years old. Also according to the 1880 census, their children were John, Patrick (aka:Parker), Maria, Scott, Palmer, Abram, Katy. According to oral family history, there may have been another son named Jake SYDNOR. Other of our ancestral names are: NOBLIN, BURWELL/BURRELL/BURRILL, SHIELDS, COLE, COLEMAN, COGBILL, CATLOW, HASKINS, CLAIRBORNE, FULLER, WOMACK, SKIPWITH, PULLIAM, and TOON/TUNE.
