2. JOHN² BOWLES (THOMAS PHILLIP¹) was born Abt. 1774, and died Unknown. He married ELIZABETH LONGDON February 10, 1812 in Henrico Co., VA.

Notes for JOHN BOWLES:
John was a Baptist Minister owning a farm on the Chickahominy River which he sold in 1816 to his cousin "Thomas Bowles, son of Benjamin". He moved to Missouri about 1821 taking his mother Sarah Bacon Bowles with him. She died in _______. One record shows that the estate of Thomas Phillip passed to his wife and that his death occured in 1795 or 1796. Five sons and two daughters and Elizabeth came to Missouri. It is believed that all were born in Henrico Co., VA. John married Elizabeth Longdon in Henrico Co., VA FEb. 10 18______.Date is either wrong or else he had a former wife who was mother of the two older sons, Edmund and thomas P.

	ii.		EDMOND BOWLES, b. Abt. 1809, Kentucky; d. Abt. 1897, South Greenfield, Dade, Missouri; m. CATHARINE STOCKSTILL; d. Dade Co., MO.

Notes for EDMOND BOWLES:
Edmund, wife and children James, Fletcher, Lou Cinda and Nancy are in the 1870 Missouri Census page 16, dated 21 July 1870 South Township, Dade County, Post Office, Greenfield, MO. Edmund and Catherine are buried in Antioch Cemetery, Dade Co, MO. Edmund, Thomas P. and John Longdon BOWLES married sisters, Catherine, Huldah and Susan STOCKSTILL. Some information is from Bowles History and Related Families by Mary Bowles 1959. I have pictures of the cemetery.
