I am trying to find more information regarding John Harman Ashley (b 1841 Devon England arrived US 1 October 1883 aboard Lydian Monarch (London to New York))with his wife Agnes Gertrude (Jeynes) and son Raymond (b 1881). His reputed sister was Emily Sophia Ashley (b. abt. 1844) who married Lawrence Ashton of Milton Morwenstow Cornwall. The latter family is buried in the churchyard in Kilkhampton. His father was stated to be John Ashley, his mother Anna Vincent. However, I can find no records for his birth, marriage, or the birth of Raymond. Please contact me if you have any information. |
