I am researching the family of Jeremiah Carter b. Feb. 20, 1803 in Boscauen New Hampshire to Nathan and Sarah (Clement) Carter. On March 27, 1825 he married Emaline Morrill b. Feb. 1, 1810 in Danville, Caledonia Co. Vermont. This marriage produced eleven children, (see report for names) of July 9, 1852 Emaline died in Peacham VT. and is buried there. On Sept. 25, 1853 Jeremiah married Mary W. Richardson. On July 17, 1854 Mary died during childbirth and is buried alongside Emaline in Peachum with infant daughter Abby Jane. In 1856 Jeremiah along with sons Amos Morrill, Hazen Blanchard and Fernando Jeremiah and daughter Martha (listed in 1860 Ark. census as incompentent) moved to Clarksville, Franklin Co. Ark. where he bought a farm. Jeremiah died Feb. 1, 1863 in Ark. but no record of buriel exist.The full record of names, dates and places follows this introduction. VA., he had a twin sister Elizabeth who's married name was Bowen and was living in Rural Hall, Forsyth Co. NC. in 1889. He also had brothers John b. 1814 and Winkfield H. b. 1824, he also had a sister Nancy and possibly twin brothers Ledford and Bedford b. 1804 or 07. Beverly married Almiria Jane Hall, daughter of Pleasant and Cynthia (Grimes) Hall, in 1839. They had two children born in Halifax Co. VA., Elizabeth b. 1840 and Robert Allen b. 1842. In 1843 Beverly moved his family along with brothers John and Winkfield to TN. and settled near Lookout Mt. and Chattanooga where two other children, Joseph and Caroline were born. In 1847 they all moved on to Missouri where they settled in Greene Co. about 8mi. N. of Springfield near the community of Ebenezer.Would like to hear from anyone with connections to these Vaughan's.William Carter Reynolds
