* The Isaac H. Rhinehart Family Home Page*

Updated September 6, 2000

I am researching the family of Isaac H. Rhinehart. The original spelling of the last name was "Rhinehardt". Isaac and two of his brothers came from Germany (or possibly Holland). Isaac settled in Waynesville, NC at the site where the court house now stands. One brother, Coonrod, settled in what was to become known as Coon Holler and the third brother, Jacob, settled near New Bridge in Buncomb County,NC. Isaac (who was actually Isaac Jr.) was also known as "Little Red Ike".
I would like to find out where exactly they immigrated from and any information on the two brothers Coonrod and Jacob.
If anyone has any information they feel might be helpful, please contact me.
