| My Name is Barbara Rhodes and I grew up in Rush County, Indiana. My maiden name is Wagner. My parents are Theodore Wagner and Gladys Sharlene Strait. I am mostly tracing my mother's side which includes; Angle, Strait, Herrmann, Fey,Timberman, Russell, Anthony, Sutherland, Evans, Davis, and Maze. My father's side includes: Wagner, Hutchinson, McCreary, and Fish. Most come from Fayette, Franklin, Decatur, Switzerland Counties of Indiana and also from Kentucky and Ohio. The Herrmann's came to America in 1853 thru New York and finally settled in Metamora, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio. Aaron Strait born 1769 and Married Elizabeth Racy?(Rasor)in 1800 in Ohio.They had 2 sons: Henry C. and George W. The later thru which my family line comes from. George W. married Frances Russell in Franklin Co., Indiana. My mother and I would love to hear from other Strait/Angle's. |
