The Rhodes, Habeggar, Johnson, DeWitt, Yager family of IN

I am trying to continue the research my father and mother started in the seventies. Both of them came from Kokomo, IN, and had family in Howard and Rush Counties, IN, among others in that area. Other surnames are Thompson, Davis Pierce, Elliot, Lowark or Lewark, Yager, Kelly or Kelley, Beaty, DeWitt, Owen. David Thompson, who was a scout for Gen. Wayne, is an ancestor. Some of these people came from PA, KY and VA in the early 19th century. I am especially interested in Elliot(s), who may have been from Miami Co., as there is a romantic story involving the kidnapping of the Elliot/Lowark baby by the Habeggars.

I would love to hear from anyone researching these families.
