Attempts are being made to connect L.A. (Lewellen) Rhodes, DOB 3/4/1821, died of yellow fever 10/14/1878, resided Germantown, TN, with Lewellen Rhodes, DOB 1803, resided Rankin County, MS who is believed to be his father. L.A.'s second wife, Cornelia M. Boardman (Rhodes) also died of yellow fever two days earlier. L.A. Rhodes' first wife, Rachel S. Phillips (Rhodes), DOB 1822, died about 1861. Research is also being conducted on the Fox, Cottrell, Carter, Brown, Chitty and Pryor lines. |
