Family of Joseph William Rice 1851-1937

Joseph William Rice wrote a family history in 1935 which I have a copy of. It outlines his life from 1862-1903.

Martha Emma Kenneson was b. Jan. 4, 1853 at Bailyville, Illinois.
Twelve children born 1874-1895. All born in Iowa.
Parents of JWR were William Eli Rice and Mary Jane Peacock married on December 5, 1850 in Dixon, Lee county, Illinois. The family moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa in 1853.
Eli was born in New York in 1823
Mary Jane Peacock was born in Ohio in 1835
Brother - Frances Marion Rice b. about 1856
Sister - Darkes Emeline died at age three. (1859-1862)
Burried somewhere near Virginia City, Nevada
William Eli took his family from Iowa to Yuba County,California in 1862. Joseph and Francis returned to Iowa in 1870. Joseph travelled throughout Iowa until 1899 when he settled in Willmar,Minnesota before moving to Marchwell, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1903. They stopped in Souris, Manitoba on route.
I am looking for information on William Eli Rice b. 1823. His father's name may also have been William Eli.
