Grand Parents Day celebrated at MacCaila’s Pre School October 15, 2004 Photos of this event can be seen on the Family Photo Website under MacCaila's third year. We first met with the Grandchildren in the Chapel. Mac's mom told her she could sit with Grammy during Chapel Service. Little did mom know that that was not in the teacher's plans. I watched Mac's class walk in and sit in the row. Mac was up in her seat searching for her own Grandma. Finally she caught site of me and I waved to her. Immediately she sprang from her seat to come and sit with her Grandma. However, she was cut off by the teacher. I watched MacCaila's body language as she slumped into her seat and began to whimper. I wanted to swoop her up and hold her, but I contained myself. :-) Soon, all was forgotten when it was her group's turn to go on stage and recite the bible verse they had learned this past week. They sang a few really cute songs about Noah's ark, then returned to their seats. After our service in the Chapel was completed, we moved on to the children’s rooms. Mac had a picture that she had made me for this occasion. She presented it to me in her classroom. She pulled me all over that room to show me each and every little thing that is important to her. I was thrilled with each new discovery. For the Grand Finally, we moved out to the Gymnasium where all the classes met to sing songs for all the Grandparents. It was a good time to visit with all the other Grandparents and Grand children. MacCaila decided she would rather spend the rest of her day with Grammy. So off we went for some Chicky Nuggets and a trip to the park. The trees are in full fall color. A site to behold. While at the park, I had to get a shot of Mac on the Big Rock. Same rock I we have photos of her mother on when she was a baby. Then, while on our way out of the park, we were surprised to find a family of deer feeding. What a treat to watch that family close up. Mac asked if they were spending the day with their Grandma too? Could be Mac, could be, I responded. We commented on how beautiful the deer were. Mac said, "they have good genes like us Grammy". Could be Mac, could be! Mac gave me a big hug and kiss and said I love you Grammy; you are my most favorite Grammy in the whole world. There is no greater reward!
