Published on page six of the Chronicle Telegram, Elyria Ohio ; Monday, October 17, 1932: SOCIETY Miss Dorothy Boylan and John L. Mockler Wed at St. Mary's Fall flowers and palms banked the cathedral candle lighted altar at St. Mary's church this morning when Miss Dorothy S. Boylan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Boylan, 245 Ohio street, became the bride of John L. Mockler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mockler of Wakeman. Rev. Fr. Lux, assistant pastor of St. Mary's church, read the mass at nine o'clock. The bride was attended by Katherine Diedrick and Joseph Mockler, brother of the groom, was best man. The bride's gown was fashioned of beet root transparent velvet and her hat and shoes were of color to match. Her flowers were valley lilies and roses in a Colonial corsage. Her only ornament was a diamond pendant. Miss Diedrick wore brown transparent velvet with hat and shoes to match. Her flowers were roses in a Colonial corsage. Following the ceremony the bridal party and immediate families motored to Oberlin where a reception and wedding breakfast was served at Pine's Inn. Fall flowers in shades of pink and white and a wedding cake centered the bride's table. Later in the day Mr. and Mrs. Mockler left for a trip through the East. Mrs. Mockler traveling in an ensemble of brown. The frock was of rough crepe and she wore a short fur jacket. After November first they will be at home 134 Longford avenue. Mrs. Mockler is a graduate of Elyria High school and has been employed at the Burr Jewelry store for several years. Mr. Mockler was graduated from Wakeman High school and Oberlin School of Commerce. He is employed at the Ohio Public Service Company. Many lovely pre-nuptial parties have complimented the bride during the past few weeks. Among those who entertained for Miss Boylan were the S. and S. Club, [?] Club. Miss Katherine Diedrick, Mrs. Robert Struthers and Miss Emma Fitzpatrick.
