These are my great-great-great-grandparents (pictured with son Anthony Aumann)who immigrated from Germany to New York in 1847, and settled a few years later in Elk County, PA. Their daughter Barbara married John W. Bard. Wolfgang and Anthony were stonemasons by trade and helped build the St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Marys, PA, and the Elk County Courthouse in Ridgeway. There are numerous Auman descendants in Elk County PA today. I recently visited there and met several of my Auman cousins. Wolfgang and Kate are buried in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys, PA.
