Pattie was the first Air Transport Association certified commercial female pilot in Montana. She died young and tragically from cancer. Pat was married twice. First marriage was to Ladue Prescott. They had two children, Lisa and Laurie. They divorced and some time later, Pat married Roy Dower, another commercial airline pilot. Roy adopted Lisa and Laurie and they also had their own child, Jennie.
