The Louis G. Riddle, Sr Family Home Page

Searching for ancestors and decendents of my gg grandfather, John W. Riddle, a German immigrant who migrated from PA to Rockbridge Co, VA sometime around 1790. He married Nancy Fanter in 1816 and raised 10 children in Rockbridge co.

The children were named,George, Frank, Margaret, Mary Ann, Frederick S.,Anna Susannah, James H., John, Rachel E. and Sarah T. Margaret married William Pettigrew, Mary Ann married John Dunfield, Frederick married Ann E. Lawhorn, Anna married William Kirkwood, and John moved to Missouri in 1850 and married Sarah Virginia Williams. I have very little information on the other children.

John died about 1848 at about 88 years and Nancy died in 1850 at about 70 years.
