Thielen Family (1768 - 2002) & Decker Family (1863-2002)

This Genealogy page is dedicated to our families - past, present and future. We continue to add new names and dates as they are discovered or as new family members are added.

This Genealogy page includes 2 family trees:

1)The descendents of Mathia Thielen, who was born before 1730 in Germany

and

2) The descendents of Theodure Decker, who was born on June 29, 1863 in Kehlen, Luxembourg.

These two families were joined together when my parents, Cletus Arthur Thielen and Monica Agnes Decker, were married in 1955 in Dubuque, Iowa.

If it weren't for the efforts of a number of wonderful people, this project would not be possible. Special thanks goes to my uncle, Thoralf Theodore Thielen, known around the world as Fr. Bud to some and as Fr. Korby to others. Without his dedication, hard work and persistence we would not be priviledged to know our families. I had the easiest task of putting the information into the computer.

The information contained in these pages is for your enjoyment and to help in furthering your own research. We are not professional genealogists but hope you find what we have gathered to be helpful.
