I am researching the James Thompson family, who originated from Ireland in the 1700s. James was probably born around 1770, and came to the United States, Pennsylvania area between 1785 and 1790. He married unknown wife, and they had William Thompson, James Thompson, John D. Thompson and Mack Thompson.
He later married Margaret McKee and they had Thomas Jefferson, Mathew, Joseph, Elizabeth, Isaac, Andrew, George W.,and Martha Jane. Children were born in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Would like to find out more about James and his family.
