Updated September 5, 2000

I am researchingVIVION--John was in Virginia Colony mid-1600's. Another John migrated to Kentucky in 1700's. Am interested in their European origin and any knowledge of John's participation in Bacon's Rebellion.
HUMPHRIES--Horatio James, son of George & Martha, came to Arkansas from Tennessee mid-1800's. Was he a doctor? Am interested in European origin.
RIDGE--Jacob b. N.C. about 1804. Was his father William? Which one? Was his wife Delilah an Indian? European origin of Ridge?
HIGGINS--Wesley b. in Tennessee about 1810. Was the wife of Wesley II (Sarah Elizabeth Armstrong, b. 1830 in TN) Indian? European origin of Higgins?

Am willing to share whatever information I have on any of these and related names.
