I have researched my family history through the years but only after retirement had time to search in depth. Ancestry.com lets you do that.

The Delamar family came from France in the late 1600's. They were French Hugeunots. I have been able to research the John (or Jesse) Milton Prevost (or Prevo) family only so far as to find he was my great grandfather, but only that he came from Missouri. The Ingraham (or Ingram) family of his wife is equally a mystery. My great grandparents are buried in the old Farmer cemetery in Farmer, NC (now known as the Methodist Cemetery).

The Vowell family and the Carlton family (my former husband's parents) came from Haw River and Wake County, NC.

The Ridenhour/Efird families came from Stanly County and Anson County, NC. They are of German origin.

My own Delamar family history as well as the history of my first husband, Clyde Wesley Vowell, Jr. and my second husband, David Efird Ridenhour are included in the files I have.
