Welcome to the Rieger Homepage. Join me in this journey through time and into immortality. As I have peered into my past, I realized that as every generation is spanned, a genetic doubling is the result. (Example: Me(1), Dad + Mom (2), Grandpa + Grandma(4), Great grandpa + Great grandma(8), etc.) The number of ancestors in the family tree after 20 generations of doubling/coupling is a staggering 1 million. How different would we be if just one of these romances had failed over the years? It becomes an unanswerable question.

I am especially interested in the Becker, Lyons, Rieger, and Tierney surnames.

Special interest in William Watson Lyons who disappeared from family around 1900 supposedly on way to Texas looking for work. The Rieger family was from Herrlisheim, canton de Bischwiller, Alsace in south Germany/France emigrating in 1872. The Becker family was from Kirrweiler, Bavaria emigrating in 1840's. Family lore has the Tierney clan coming from Missouri in the 1870's.
