Researching RIGGS, SHELTON, TRUSS families who originated in or near Orange County, NC during the early 1700s. The Riggs family migrated to Alabama during the early 1800s and eventually moved on to Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas following the Civil War. Am especially interested in WILLIAM RIGGS born abt 1728 m. Margaret "Mary" Riggs and JAMES RIGGS who moved to Arkansas during the 1850s-1860s and settled in Calhoun and/or Ouachita County.Have much info to share with interested parties!
