Remembering when I first began family genealogy research,
even before receiving my Family Tree Maker Progam, I flirted with the thought that I would use the most versatile means of
genealogy research available. I had read how important it was to distinguish yourself and your research by documenting each
article before entering it into the records.
I remember thinking that I really had it all together.I realize now I didn't have a clue. My first lesson in family genealogy research was about to become a reality. The information posted on the web had been my main source of information. It supplied most of the family information that I needed. After working long days and into the nights for weeks recording it on the Family Tree Maker, I discovered so much incorrect information on those posting boards that I finally scraped all that I had recorded, and started over.
Like most other people doing research by using the web, and even using family historical documents, I have found diferences in birth dates and death dates, locations etc. Much of the data that I have obtained has been from resources found on the web, making contact and communicating with other researchers found on the web. At times these resources will list references where that particular piece of data has been obtained, some time they do not.
If and when there is doubt,I will usually take the data that I find listed the most often as being the most accurate. You are free to take and use this data presented, with NO GUARANTEE that
any data prior to the mid 1900's is accurate.
Nor do I imply that anything found here is accurate. If you find data here that is of interest to you or feel may be
inaccurate, please let me know. I will try to verify my data source from which I obtained the original information.
As time permits, I will be updating these pages with those reference contacts of the location where I found the information that is posted. This will take some time, so please be patient.
