Abraham Hawkins was reported to have been born in West Virginia in 1835. He moved to Ohio and served in the Civil War as a Union Solder. He married Ida Jane Weaver in Ohio where my Great Grandfather John Harvey Hawkins was born in Cleveland in 1874. At some time after that he went to Indiana where twins were born. In about 1890 he moved to Missouri. He was a boot-maker, Country Doctor, and Reverand. He died in Joplin, Mo in 1924. |
