After a decade of research, my 5000+ name database includes these chief lines: RILEY, BRANCH, BOEHNER, PANNIER, MULLIN(S), DEAN, LENTZ, HARMS.

I am especially interested in making contact with the RILEYS of Warrick & Gibson Counties, Indiana. Somewhere between 1835 and 1842 my RILEYS moved from Ohio to settle in Warrick County and surrounding environs. My chief genealogical struggle has been to try to pin down the father of my great grandfather, John Nicholas RILEY. Who he might be is uncertain. It very well may be Aaron Riley, son of Nicholas Riley. John Nicholas RILEY'S (1856-1932) mother would, in this scenario, be Nancy Jane PARKER who would have died shortly after giving birth to John, leaving Aaron widowed and John motherless. Aaron soon re-married (1858) to Mariah (nee: NICHOLSON)and John (right age and place) is found living with this Aaron RILEY family. [Aaron's brother, Abraham, laid down roots in Gibson County which borders Warrick County, Aaron's home place.]

Another of my genealogical puzzles is to discover the parents of William Dudley BRANCH (1869-1940), my other great-grandfather. His roots are in Trimble County, Kentucky. It may be that W. D's parents are Benjamin A. Branch and Mary Adeline GILLESPIE--though family tradition has it James Benny (Ben. A.??) BRANCH and Adeline GILLESPIE.

The final puzzle is to discover the parents of A. Vance MULLIN(S)(b. abt. 1907) who is listed as the natural father of my father-in-law, Jack HARRIS. Jack's mother, who died in giving birth to Jack (then John Eugene Mullins) was Juanita DEAN (1909-1926). The DEANS were from Union County/Floyd County/Gordon County, Georgia. Jack, however, was born in Bakersfield, CA, where Juanita died and is buried.

I would happily exchange information with any who share these roots, or who might be able to shed any light on any one of these puzzles.
