My father's family names are: Ringel (from Hesse Darmstradt, Germany in early 1820's, ending in Peoria, Illinois via Hooppole, IL); Mulligan and Fahey (from Roscommon, Ireland around 1830's ending in Peoria, Illinois); Rindfleisch (from Germany dates unknown, then Cleveland, Ohio ending in Peoria, Illinois); Hutcherson (from Henrico County, Virginia mid-1740's ending in Peoria, Illinois via Springfield and Petersburg, Illinois) and Primm (orig. de la Pryme) originally from Ypres, France arriving to Stafford County, Virginia ending in Petersburg, Illinois). My mother's family names are: Meyer (originally from Eisenstadt, Germany 1800's ending in Cicero, Illinois via Luxombourg and possibly Canada); Schlentz (from Luxombourg 1800's ending in Cicero, Illinois); Van Dyke (from New Utrecht, NY ending in Walworth County, Wisconsin via Pennsylvania, Freeport area of Illinois and Monroe or Madison, Wisconsin); and Button (Orginally from Oneida Co., NY to Walworth County, Wisconsin) |
