"The Ashley Duncans of Kentucky & Missouri"

I am researching the Duncan Family from Kentucky, Missouri, Calif. I do not know when the Duncans came to America. Ashley Duncan born 1809 , died 1885 was my great grandfather. He maried Elizabeth (Sproul) Bowler in Howard County, MO. They had 8 children. Prior W. Duncan, Jesse R. Duncan Lavelette E. Duncan, William P Duncan, James Caswell Duncan, Rush Floyd Duncan, Tyson Dines Duncan, and John Ashley Duncan.

His father was Prior (orPryor) Duncan, born abt 1781. died abt 1819. He married Sally White, Sept 13, 1803 in Warren County,Ky. They had 2 children: Caswell Duncan and Ashley Duncan


Ashley Duncan's son, Rush Floyd Duncan was my grandfather. He married Leila Margaret Fuquay May 20, 1875 in Spring Valley, CA.
They had 11 children.
