| John Michael Ristau 18 Patterson Street Ermington,N.S.W. 2115 (61) 02 9638 6226 | I am currently researching the Ristau name in Germany as my family is the only one in Australia.I am also researching the Malarkey name in Ireland as my ancestors left there in 1840.I have found a name of 'Ristau-am-Main' in Bavaria, but am having difficulty in locating it. The Baron von Hohenburg-Ristau lives there, but I haven't a clue where it is, as the Main river covers quite a distance in Bavaria. I would appreciate any help or advise on these problems.Grandfather Paul Hugo Ristau, born in Posen, Germany approx 1860, started his journey in Gotha, Germany about 1889, and I have lots of postcards from his relatives until the 1920's.He died in 1905.The family story is that they all moved to Dresden in 1943, when all contact was lost. I am willing to assist anyone experiencing difficulties with Australia and am willing to share any information that I have. |
