We are researching information on the Risinger or Reisinger family who originally immigrated from Germany, settled in Pennsylvania in the late 1700s-early 1800s, moved west as most families did into Ohio and Indiana. The search is centered on Michael Risinger who was born in Pennsylvania August 07, 1819 and married Cathern Elizabeth Shively. He and Cathern had seven children: two daughters; Cathern and Mollie, and five sons; Daniel, William Newton, John, Walton Irvin, and Marion Francis.
We hope to develop a comprehensive list of direct descendents from each of the seven children of Michael and Cathern as well as establish a direct line to one of several Risinger/Reisinger immigrants.

Any information concerning Michael's parents - probably from western Pennsylvania - would be appreciated. I will be happy to share whatever information already gathered.
