The Risener Family of So. Carolina, Tennessee & Arkansas

Updated February 23, 2003

My research on the Risner/Risener family has been done over about a 15 year period. I started with the Arkansas branch in the late 1800's and early 1900's and worked my way back. There are still a lot of holes and questions to be answered. This is an elusive bunch! Especially before they came to Arkansas. I have included information in this page from my own research as well as infomation I have gathered from the web and e-mail with other researchers. My hope is that someone out there will be able to complete what I have started. You are welcome to my information and I would love to see what can be added or changed. Where I have made assumptions I will tell you and why and am always open to new ideas. A lot of my information is still in bits and pieces and I will add it as I have time...especially on those lines that are not my direct line. I would love for all of us to be able to put together a comprehensive picture of this family from So Carolina forward. I have tried to place each Risner/Risener, etc. I have come across in some way. If I could not I have so noted. Before So. Carolina is a big blank for me. I've tried to go back before that but have had no success at this time. Good luck and I hope you join the search with me. Lynn
