The Rizzolo-Formosa Family Home Page
This page is meant be a source of contact for anyone interested in the RIZZOLO and CASELLA families of southern Italy. According to long-held tradition, the Rizzolo family, which split from the RIZZO clan in 1870, descends back to ancient Roman times. Until their immigration to the United States in 1902, where they settled in San Jose, California, the Rizzolos had close ties to the towns of Avellino and Calabritto in Avellino province, and Battipaglia, Olevano sul Tusciano, and Castelnuovo Cilento in Salerno province. Over the decades much of the information regarding the Rizzolos has been lost. That which still survives I have been attempting to preserve in a family history. Any RIZZOLO or RIZZO, or anyone with an interest in or information about the family is invited to contact me either by conventional or e-mail.I am also seeking information on the CASELLA and CENTOLA families of Tricarico, and the CAMMAROTA family of Castelnuovo Cilento. |
