ZEM STRONG:
In the 1851 Cramahe Census, Ozem Strong Sr. (Farmer) is listed as a 60 yr old Widower living with Ozem Strong Jr. and Elizabeth Strong. It is believed that Ozem Strong Sr. came to Canada from Vermont about 1813, with the rest of the Strong Family after the "War of 1812" - likely a late Loyalist (source: Terry Forin Family Tree).

(2) FANNY WALT, November 16, 1842, Cramahe Twp, Northumberland Cty, Ont., Canada72; m. (3) MAHALA JANE DAVIS, September 16, 1851, Northumberland Cty, Ont., Canada73; b. Abt. 1835, Ontario, Canada74.
  Notes for FRANCIS BRIGHAM STRONG:
In the 1851 Cramahe Census, there is a girl Cecilia McGlauphilie (sp?) aged 17 yrs living with Francis and Mahala. She is listed as "not a family member."

The 1891 Cramahe Census indicates that Francis Strong was born in Ontario around 1811 (age 80 yrs). Also, that his father was born in Vermont and his mother was born in the United States. Francis' death registration from 1892 indicates his age as 80 yrs.

Francis birth location is confusing. The early Ontario Census records indicate his birthplace as being in Ontario. However, the IGI has this location as being in Bennington, VT and the 1891 Cramahe Census also lists "Vermont" as his birthplace.
