Nancy Elizabeth Roach (daughter of James Harrison Roach and Pernicia Ann Florence Deel) was born 16 Nov 1868 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, and died Nov 1955 in Buried Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas. She married John L. James on 27 Sep 1883 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth (Roach) James, 86, a resident of Dallas for 52 years, died Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. T.D. Glenn of 5431 Beeman, following a brief illness.
Born in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. Mrs James came to Texas in 1870 with her parents and settled in Ellis County prior to moving to Dallas. She was the widow of John L. James, who died in 1934.
She was a charter member of the Tenison Park Baptist Church. Other survivors include two sons, W.H. James and J.L. James, both of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. C.H. Glenn Sr. of Irving and Mrs. T.R. Foreman of Dallas; two brothers, J.P. Roach of Bromide, Okla., and George T. Roach of Decatur, Wise County; one sister Mrs. R.E. Kamp of Fort Worth; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Wednesday in the Ed C. Smith Funeral Chapel, 44103 Swiss. Rev. James H. Stanley and the Rev. Terrel Gordon will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Charles Glenn, Albert Glenn, Don E. James, Bobby Ray James, William L. James, Albert E. Husband.
Burial Will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
