Carlton is buried here on Saturday Rites were read Tuesday morning for Mrs. Mary LaVina Carlton in the First Baptist Church of Tishomingo. Mrs. Carlton died Saturday at the age of 75. She was born Oct. 3, 1902 in Clarita, I.T. Burial was in Tishomingo City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Rev. James Watson conducted the services for Mrs Carlton, who had lived in Tishomingo since moving from Bromide in 1943. She married Audie Carlton Oct. 3, 1920 in Bromide. He preceded her in death. Surviving Mrs. Carlton are two sons, Raleigh "Buster" Carlton of Albuquerque, N.M., and Harley William Carlton of Lock Port, N.M., three daughters, Mrs Emory Lane of Midwest City, Mrs. Warren Wood of Ardmore, Mrs. Tommy West of Comanche. Also, two brothers, Arley Kirkpatrick of Niagara Falls, N.Y., a sister Nora Heffington of Tishomingo 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service were Vernon Raper, Doyle Robinson, S.R. Robinson, Bob Durington, Billy Tom Erichson, and Harold Troutman.
