Please confirm the burial of Lysias Durham in Mississippi. The Will of Lysias Durham was dated 5 September 1837 and proved February Term 1838 in Orange County, North Carolina. Mentioned in the will were his three daughters Tabitha Gear Durham, Mary Jane Durham, and Susannah Durham, and sons David Durham, Dudley Durham and Tarleton Durham. It further stated that Mary Jane Durham was to get what was coming from her mother's estate.
Since the children did not move to Mississippi until 1850 I doubt that Lysias was in Mississippi in 1838.

Saturday, Aug 17th 1850 " ..... the following members requested dismissal by letter -- David L. Durham Deacon W H M Durham -- Sisters Barbara Durham Elmina Durham - Tabitha Durham Mary Hatch & Margaret Cheek ....."

This was related to their move to Holmes County, Mississippi via Lauderdale County, Tennessee. They arrived in Mississippi in 1851.
