John E. Lloyd (son of John S. Lloyd and Prudence Emery) was born 27 Feb 1747 in Calmes Neck, Frederick Town, Virginia, and died Oct 1785 in Green County (later Hancock County), Georgia. He married Sarah Stuard, daughter of William Stuard and Rachel.
Notes for John E. Lloyd: In 1784 John and his brother James came to Georgia. John received 200 acres for his service in the American Revolution. It is recorded in The Headright and Bounty Grants of Georgia in Book Kkk. p 5
John Lloyd's grant was confirmed by Governor Edward Telfair on February 2, 1786 and registered on February 8, 1786, this entry showing 200 acres bounded by John Tankersley, James Harve, Sanders Walker, and Thompson's land. It also shows that this land was on Beaverdam Creek of the "Waters of the Ogeechee"
